Common Questions (Q&A)

Keep inventory?

On RespawnMC, the keep inventory setting is entirely up to you—it’s an individual preference that you can adjust at any time. If you want to retain your items after dying, simply type /keepinv on to enable the feature. Conversely, if you’d prefer the added challenge of losing your items on death, use /keepinv off to disable it.

NEW: you can now disable or enable keep inventory automatically via the /settings GUI!

Chest protection?

In RespawnMC, you have complete control over the security of your chests and containers. You can easily toggle these protections on or off by using the /privacy command. This command allows you to decide whether you want your stored items to be safeguarded from unauthorized access.

Claim tutorial

Full SimpleClaimSystem Documentation

Claiming territory on RespawnSMP with the SimpleClaimSystem is straightforward and designed to help you protect your builds and resources. To secure your land, simply stand in the chunk (or area) you wish to claim and use the basic command /claim [<radius>]. The optional radius parameter allows you to claim multiple chunks at once if you desire a larger territory. This initial claim marks the area as yours, preventing other players from modifying it without your permission.

Once you've claimed a territory, you can manage and customize it using a variety of commands. For instance, use /claim main <claim-name> to open the main interface for your claim, where you can see key details and settings. You can also adjust various aspects of your claim through dedicated commands like /claim settings, /claim members, and /claim chunks, each providing an easy-to-use graphical interface to manage settings, add or remove trusted members, or view the specific chunks that belong to your claim.

In addition to basic claim management, the SimpleClaimSystem offers commands to help you control who can access your territory. You can add players to your claim with /claim add [<*|claim-name>] <player> and remove them with /claim remove [<*|claim-name>] <player>. If needed, you can also ban troublesome players using /claim ban or reverse the ban with /claim unban. These features ensure that your claim remains a safe space where only players you trust are allowed to interact with your property.

For enhanced visualization and ease of use, several commands provide helpful overlays and maps. The /claim see command displays the chunk you're in with color-coded particle borders—white indicates an unclaimed chunk, red shows a claimed area, and green marks your own territory. Meanwhile, /claim map gives you a chat-based overview of nearby claims, making it easier to navigate the server and understand your surroundings. With these tools at your disposal, managing your claim on RespawnSMP becomes a seamless and intuitive experience.

Skills tutorial

Each skill on RespawnMC represents a specific aspect of gameplay. There are 11 default skills available—including Farming, Foraging, Mining, Fishing, Excavation, Archery, Defense, Fighting, Agility, Enchanting, and Alchemy. As you gain XP in a particular area, the corresponding skill will level up, boosting your performance and granting you stat increases. Most skills come with five passive abilities that unlock at early levels, while some also feature a special mana ability that can be activated during gameplay for an extra edge.

The system is designed to be intuitive and rewarding. With every level gained, not only do you receive stat buffs, but you also unlock or enhance various passive and active abilities that can significantly improve your efficiency and survival. For example, while your Mining skill may help you dig faster or yield more resources, your Farming skill might improve your crop yields or animal breeding rates. This dynamic approach means that as you explore different facets of Minecraft, your character becomes a more versatile and powerful adventurer.

For an in-depth look at your progress, simply use the /skills command to open a graphical interface that displays all the details about your skills and abilities.
